The Tesla Owners Club NZ has a booth, along with the Electric Vehicle Association of Aotearoa, in Electric Avenue at Big Boys Toys this year!
Our club sponsors at the Wrap Shop and OCD Detailing are helping with some printing for the booth, so a big thanks to them!
We’ve now got 10 or so volunteers to help. If you are able to help it would be massively appreciated. The more the merrier!!! There are two main roles we need volunteers to fill at Big Boys Toys:
🏎 Rides for Gut Cancer 🚗
- We need people to do rides for the public in the two supplied ChargeNet branded Tesla’s
- Hyundai also want a EV compentent driver to do laps in a Kona
A gold coin donation will get a ride in a Tesla (driven by the Owners Club). All proceeds will go to the Gut Cancer Foundation of NZ. We’ll have branded buckets at our booth to collect donations for rides. And possibly also electronic donation facilities.
🚘TOCNZ booth🚀
We’ve been given (by the West’s) NZ’s only Tesla Roadster to display at our booth this year. We need volunteers to answer any questions from potential Tesla owners, take new club memberships, and generally talk all things Tesla.
The people on the booth will not necessarily need to be present at all times but should feel free to mix and mingle in Electric Avenue too. We’ll also take donations for rides at the booth.

I’m personally very proud that we have the opportunity to share our love for our cars with doing good for a very worthy charity.
This is a great opportunity to raise the profile of our club and do some good too.

- Which slot or slots you can do?
We’ve got 2 slots a day that we are seeking volunteers for. Friday, Saturday, Sunday. AM and PM each day.
- Parking and Tickets
We have a limited number of car parks and tickets to the event for all volunteers
- Lunch and coffee
We will have access to coffee (critical) and a light lunch for volunteers
